Torrential rain has swept the Aguascalientes race track for the past three days, making it a sea of mud, but Mr. Crofton asserted that racing will be resumed on Friday, weather permitting. Phar Lap has been kept in his stahle, and the trainers say that the interruption may be beneficial as it will help them to break the horse in more gradually before the handicap.
