Won by three lengths; three lengths. Time, 1.14. Inquiry Held An inquiry was held into interference in the straight between Chief Jewel, Jalldy Karo and Karangapai. The stewards found that Chief Jewel had been frightened by people who lined the rails inside the course and came over on Jalldy Karo. The happening was deemed to be accidental.
