Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court on a, elaim for damages based on a-.collision between a petro.l wagon weighing seven tons and a baby Austin, weighing scarcely more than seven hundredweight. Evidence di(l . not djsclose negligence on the part of either driver, but his Wqrship field that the owners of the petrol wagon had tfiken a risk in sending a. cumbersome vehicle over a road which, by reason pf its dangerpus nature, cpmpelled the driver to use the centre of the road instead of keeping to his left. The accident happeried at a sharp corner. The. lorry's bonnet was well Qver on the left side, but its tail was across the road, leaving no room for the Austin to pass. The driver admitted that he had not travelled on the left as required by the Motor Regulations, as it would have been nnsafe with such a heavy vehicle.
