OVERSEAS TOURISTS
SEVERAL PARTIES SHORTLY TO ARRIYE IN ROTORUA. AMERICAN AND ENGLISH. Several parties of American and English tourists are due in Rotorua j during the next few weeks, although | at the present time details of the dates of arrival of all parties are not known. On February 9, a party of 15 visitors on a speeially conducted tour under the Criswell Travel Agency, of New York, will arrive in Rotorua on a brief visit and will leave the following morning for the North. The party will arrive from Wanganui by way of the Chateau and Wairakei. Ten days later, February 20, a large party from the American pleasure steamer Mariposa will land at" Auckland and a number of the party will visit Rotorua on a flying visit. The Mariposa is carring approximately 300 tourists and i it is expected that about 120 of these will come to Rotorua. A third American party conducted by Mr. Wheeler, of Pacific Tours Ltd., is expected to arrive in Rotorua later in the season, while an English party conducted by Mr. Edward Gray' is also expected.
