CADET SHIELD
ROTORUA HIGH SCHOOL WINS FOR SECOND YEAR The North Island Challenge Shield for competition among the secondary school cadet battalions, was won by A Company, 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment (Rotorua High School), for the second year in cession.The runner-up was B Company, 2nd Cadet Battalion, Hauraki Regiment (Matamata High School). The South Island Shield was won by A Company, 4th Cadet Battalion, Canterbury Regiment (Christchurch Technical College). Cash prizes of £10 are also awarded.
