(Press Assn.-

unaniwqus report by cabinet committee expected LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMME

-By Telegraph — O -pyright).

Rec. Jan. 15, 10 p.m. LONDON, Friday. The Cabinet Committee which is considering the tqriff, is representative of the three parties, and is expected to reach a decision in a few , days. The problem is being considered from the sole viewpoint of the trade and finance situation. It is recognised that the basis as regards the balance of trade demands that no moment be lost in introducing remedial measures. All indications point to the fact that tlie Cpmmittee's recpmmendations will be in ^favour of a tariff, and there is no reason to fear fhat if it is unanimous, it will not be accepted.
