RIOTS AT TSINGTAO GRAVER THAN At FIRST THOUGHT JAPANESE MARINES LANDED

R6c. Jan. 13, 11 p.m. SHANGHAI, Wednes. The Japanese riots at Tsingtao were more grave than was at first reported. In addition to razing the Minkuo newspaper offiees, the rioters, who numbered over 1,000, fired the Kuomintang headquarters. The city is now in a state of terror. Japanese marines have l'anded and are maintaining order. Traffic on the Peking-Mukden railway is at a complete standstill, apart from troop movements.
