Rec. Dec. 21, 10.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Monday. The Legislative Assembly resumed its sittings to-day. The police report on the New Guard which was placed before the House, showed that the Guard is well organised with the object of maintaining essential serviees in the event of a break-down through a general strike. It would not interfere in strikes, and would function in. any case if there was an attempt to secure control by other than constitutional means.
