LANCASHIRE DESIRES TARIFF ON FOREIGN PIECE GOODS INTERVIEW WITH MINISTER

The "Daily Express" says that representatives of the Lancashire cotton industry during the weekend had an interview with Mr. Walter Runciman, president of the Board of Trade. It is stated that no definite decision has been reached regarding the tariff on cotton piece-goods, but jthe industry in confident that it will shortly be included in tbe schedule as it is impp.ssible to distinguish between such competitive articlss and goods used by the British cotton manufacturers. ________
