HIGH SCHOOL OPEN WELL
Ngongotaha batted first in their match against High School commenced at the High School grounds on Saturday and on completion of their innings had 125 runs on the board. This total was very largely made by two batsmen, Dawson (58) and Thomas (34) not out. Dawson batted particularly well and eight four's were ineluded in his total. Ryder bowled well in securing four wickets for 60 runs, as also did Kea ne who secured two wickets. Brooker, who bowled six overs for 11 runs, lcept the batsmen quiet and deserved more success. High School opened their innings with a will and in scoring 97 runs fdr the loss of only one wicket kept the fieldsmen busy. Hinton and Ryder opened, the latter being given out lbw wht/i 17, but Hinton and Beale earried on until stumps, both being undefeated, their scores being 30 and 40 respectively.
