HIGH SCHOOL AND MAMAKU COMMENCE WELL
LENIHAN'S CONSISTENT FORM Due mainly to fine bowling hy Lenihan and Sutherland City knocked up only 47 runs in- their first innings against Albion on Saturday. Godsalve and Mason, with 13 runs apiece, were the only batsmen to reach double figures, the remainder putting up a very poor showing against Lenihan's medium paced off-breaks, and Sutherland's fast deliveries. Burton and Hinton gave Albion a good start and were -only five short of City's score when the former was eaught by Harding. Hinton followed shortly after, but McGill and Lenihan attacked the bowling and put on 82 runs for less than an hour's batting. At the drawing of stumps McGill was not out with 71 runs to his credit, made chiefly off good drives. The game will be concluded next Saturday.
