irish sweep race won by north drift from field of forty-one starters third win on course

Rec. Nov. 29, 5.5 p.m. MANCHESTER, Friday. The Manchester November Handicap resulted: North Drift '1, Signifier 2, Pard 3. Forty-one horses serambled for victory in the November Handicap, Lord Bill refusing to start, British Sailor was the first to take the lead, but w.as outstripped by North Drift, Signifier and others, who emerged from the midst of the field three furlongs from home, North Drift then took. command and gallantly. won by half a length, followed by Signifier, with Pard half a length behind third. Redeswood, who dead-heated with North Drift in the Manchested Cup, was just beaten for a place. The winner is owned by Mr. J. T. Dowling, of Sheffield, a commission agent. This is his third win on this course. Time 2.52 4-5.
