Citizens of Norris, Nebraska, asserted that the marketing agerits' and offieials' salaries were too highMr. E. F. Creekmore, president of the American Cotton Assoeiation, said that he received a salary of 25,000 dollars plus 50,000 dollars hy way of bonus. Senator Wheeler, of Montana, asked Mr. Creekmore what was the average cotton grower's income, Mr. Creekmore replied: About 300 dollars a year. Senator Wheeler: "And you represent these poor devils at a salary of 75,000 dollars a year?"
