AT NEW PLYMOUTH

(Press. Assn.-

— By Telegraph — Copyright) .

NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, addressed a crowded audience at the1 Opera House this afternoon and received a fairly attentive hearing, but a rowdy element was present, and there were a number of interjections. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried, followed by counting out and cheers. Mr. Forbes traversed the economic policy of the Government, speaking of the need to uphold the Dominion's credit by sound administration. He criticised the policy of 'Labour which he said would inevitably lead to a brealcdown of the country's finances and expressed confidence that the great bulk of thinking people would place trust in the soundness of the Coalition Government.
