In the House of Lords, in the presence of a large attendance of peeresses in the gallery, and Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, Mr. Winston Churchill, Sir Donald Maclean, and Mr. Y/alter Runciman and other Ministers, standing before the throne, Viscount Snowden, in scarlet and ermine robes, sxaonsored by Viscount D'Abernon and Viscount Lee of Foreham, with the customary picturesque ceremony toulc his seat and took the oath as Viscount Snowden of Ickornshaw. None of the Labour peers attended the ceremony.
