brazilian authorities refuse to release hinkler EXPLANATION FOR ARREST

-By Telegraph — Copyright.)

Rec. Nov. 20, 7.0 p.m. SAO PAULO, Thursday. Despite the efforts of the British Consul at Fort Aleza, the authorities in Ceara say that they will continue to hold Bert Hinkler and his 'plane. The present explanation for his arrest is that a telegram from Belem officials to those at Ceara introducing Hinkler and asking the courtesy of the State air fields for him was not delivered. The British Ambassador has taken up the case and will request the authorities at Rio de Janiero to permit Hinkler to continue his journey.
