The Visitors' tail raised the total to 425, presenting N-ew South Wales with a formidable task. Bill went out the second b'all. Fingleton played his an, opening - - batsman well. ** Two wickets were down for 53 and the position was -not a rosy one for New South Wales. After being in 87 minutes for 30 Bradman returned a sim'ple oue to Taylor. McCabe meanwhile had been moving along nieely but fell a victim "to a smart piece of stumping. . Bell and McCabe were bowling splendidly and soon dismissed the remainder of the State . team. . ,The Springboks' fielding throughout "was excellent.
