REGISTRATIONS SHOW SMALL INCREASE FOR WEEK

WELLINGTON, Thursday. The total number of unemployed registered in the week ended November 2, 1931, was 50,284, compared with 50,266 in the week earlier, an increase of 18. According to a return announced to-day by the Minister in charge of Unemployment, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, the "number of those who were employed part-time under the Unemployment Board's relief schemes was 36,758 an increase of , 334 over the previous week. The net number registered and unplaced was thus 13,526, decrease of 316 for the week.
