CONDEMN ATION OF STATEMEN IN PROSPECTU S OF BANK

SYDNEY, Tuesday. "Damnable and untrue" is how Mr. Watt, K.C., referred to certain statements in the prospectus issued by the Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation, when an action instituted by the Australian Brokerage, Limited, for the recovery of £20,000 for alleged breach of warrant and false representation was heard before Hi^» Honour, Mr. Justice Stephens, and a jury. Plaintiff alleged that defendants were guilty of nnsrepresentation in a recent sale of their shares. The defence was a denial and a contention that plaintiff s were not ready or willing to carry out their contraet with the defendants. The hearing had not concluded when the Court adjourned.
