AUSTRALIAN TRADE MISSION WELCOMED IN MONTREAL GIFT FROM QUEENSLAND

TORONTO, Friday. Flying the Australian flag from her masthead, the freighter City of Toronto docked on Thursday at Montreal bearing her goodwill cargo from Australia. An oificial welcome was extended by the Board of Trade,; the Canadian Manufacturers' Association and representative business men. The hope 'was expressed that inter-Empire trade proposals would result from the suggestion made by the Premier that the Imperial Economic Conference should be held as soon as po-ssible, by the Australian Trade Commfssioner. The vessel's cargo includes two kangaroos a gift from Queensland. They were led ashore and presented to the Mayor by Mr. McGregor, the Australian Trade Comnlissioner.
