Srnth Australia, containing wlrat purports to be a message from the air liaer Southern Cloud, which was lost on March 2i last when en route from Sydney to Melbourne. The message states .that the 'plane l was lost and flying aimlessly over the J water. The ending is blurred and the n essage is apparently unsigned. Mr. C. P. Ulm discounts the story. j Ee says the 'plane carried no beer bottles and that the message was ! couehed in terms which would not be I used by an experienced airman. The 1 Director of Navigation, at Melbourne points out that the trend of the sea currents on the coast is eastward not westward, as it would need to be to carry flotsam to Lacepede Bay.
