NEW YORK, Saturday. The George Washington bridge, said to be the largest suspension span in the world, being 4760 feet between anehorages, was opened to-day across the Hudson River between New Jersey and New York City. The bridge toolc 30 months to build 4000 men were employed, and the cost was £12,000,000, which will be reebvered from tolls.
