CHRISTCHURCH, Thurs. The liquidation of the Tongariro Park Tourist Company, Ltd., had a sequel to-day in the Supreme Court when A. J. White, Ltd., furniture manufacturers, of Christchurch, sued the Mount Cook Tourist Company, Ltd., for £10,865, the amount alleged to be still owing to plaintiff for furniture supplied to the Chategcil, The statement of claim set out that the Mount Cook Motor Company, formed in 1912, had increased its activities until, in 1929 it'had changed its name to the Mount Cook Tourist Company and had large interests throughout New Zealand. It was intimately associated with the Tongariro Park Tourist Company. R. L. Wrigley was chairman of directors of both companies and they had the same secretary.

In 1929, furnishings valued at £15,475 were supplied to the Chateau, the freight costing £338. Subsequently £5000 had been pa*id by the Government and the balance was still owing. The defence was that the contract had been entered into by the Tongariro Park Tourist Company and no liability attached to the Mount Cbok Tourist Company. The hearing was adjourned until Monday.
