NEW PLYMOUTH, Thurs. For an assault on the Rev. R. B. Gosnell, Timothy Picard Christian, a Norfolk Islander, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. He was also charged with being idle and disorderly. Christian applied to the Hospital Board for charitable aid. Mr. Gosnell, who is a member of the board, advised him, as a single man, to go to the Labour Department, where he wasdrawn to enter an unemployment camp. Christian refused, used abusive language, and struclc Mr. Gosnell on the jaw, then left through a window and disappeared, being arrested later.
