OLD MAN WORTH THOUSANDS DEAD IN DIRTY COTTAGE LIVED IN APPARENT POVERTY' WELLINGTON, Thursday. . John Thomas Jackson, or Jacobson, aged 62 years, was found dead in a very poor and dirty cottage on the Te Aro Flat, almost bare of necessities. He had apparently been living in extreme poverty. On going through his belongings the police discovered, in boxes and' cupboards, seeurities, debentures and scrip, and a little money representing over £6000. There are no relStives in New Zealand, but he is believed to have a sister in England. Death was fromnatural causes.
