KOZIE SHIELD FINAL
The final of the Kozie Shield competition between Kahukura and Kaharoa saw the latter defeated 17-11. The game was keenly contested, and from slart to finish, was full of interest. The losers, who made the best of their extra weight, piayed solid rugger and with better combination and training, might easily have reversed the decision. The winners' superior combination enabled them to throw the ball about in great style. Their five tries were the result of good passing movements. The opening made by Worster from half way for Shalfoon to score a most spectacular try, was a beautiful effort. Kaharoa was well represented by Marsh who scored one try, kicked a penalty, and converted a.try. Leonard Bros. proved two hard worldng forwards and T. Leonard was suecessful in annexing one try. For the winners points were scored by M'artin (3 tries, 1 converted), Shalfoon and Head (one try each). Hamilton, Thompson and Flood were always prominent. Mr L. Clark had ' control of the game. . ■
