DASH INTO CROWD

APPALLING ACCIDENT DURING ITALIAN MOTOR RACES ' ROME, Monday. An appalling accident happened at the Monza racing ■ traek during the course of the Grand Prix De Monza. Seventy competitors were racing at highest speed when Etancelin, the French crack driver ,on board an Alfa-Romeo racer, travelling at over 90 miles an hour, suddenly shot his car among the crowd of spectators. Before they were able to part, the great car had mowed through them, and when it was brought to a standstill, there was a heap of men and women on the ground shrieking and struggling, of whom four were dead and 15 seriously injured. Etancelin was only slightly hurt. The racing was ahandoned.
