JNAKKUW JSSGArJiS fKUffl INJURY IN MOTOR COLLISION CRASH OVER "40FT BANK When two cars met in a head-on collision on the Rotorua-Okataina Road shortly after four o'clock yesterday afternoon, one car, driven by a Hindoo storekeeper of Rotoiti, J. A. Moses, crashed over a 40 foot bank into the waters of Lake Rotoiti. Both Mr Moses and a Maori who was travelling with him as a passenger escaped with minor abrasions but the -car was considerably damaged and is still in the lake. It capsized in shallow water and onljr the hood was submerged.. The other car wsfe driven by Mr J. W. McCarroll, of Te Awamutu, who was proceeding from Lake Okataina to Rotorua en route to Te Awamutu. The two cars met in a sharp bend on the lake road, but Mr McCarroll's car, fortunately, was not forced over the bank. The vehicle was only slightly damaged and was driven into Rotorua under its own power. Both Mosese and his passenger had a narrow escape from injury but were able to extricate themselves from the wreckage of their ear without assistance.
