CHILD BURNT

CONDITION REPORTED BY HOSPITAL AS SERIOUS FELL INTO FIRE A child, James Howland, aged two and a-half years, a son of Mr and Mrs G. A. Howland, of Putaruru, was admitted to King George V. Hospital at aboutl p.m. yesterday suffering from severe burns. His condition is reported to be serious. It is understood that the child was playing near an open grate at his home in Putaruru when he fell into the fire, severely brrning his arms, chest and legs. Dr. S. L. Haslett, of Prtaruru, was called in and he ordered the Jboy's removal to hospital and he was brought into Rotorua by car and admitted to King George V. Hospital.
