Shanghai, Friday. The Burgenland-Hamburg liner Amerki, of 7,000 tons, struck the Pokusa reef south of Korea this afternoon while en route from Tsingtao to Japan. She is reported to be sinking. The Japanese freighter Baikao Maru is rushing to the rescue. The weather is cairn. The Amerki has 20 passengers on board, principally Shanghai residents, who were enjoying a summer cruise. The liners holds are reported to be flooded. She has a full cargo.
