FORTUNE FOR DAUGHTERS. For the purpose of endowing two beds in Charing Cross Hospital to t'he memory of his late wife and himself, Sir Herbert Furnival Waterhouse, the eminent surgeon, who recently died in his study iii Wimpole Street, London, left £3000 out of an estate of over £80,000. His two daughters share the remainder of his fortune. Sir Herbert had been associated with the hospital for forty years, and for uearly half the period was senior surgeon. He left all his surgical instruments and miscroscopes to Dr. C. Jennings Marshall, of Harley Street, who is assistant surgeon a't the hospital.
