WAR REGULATIONS ACT.
OPERATES ON AUGUST 24th. Per ,Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 23. Regulations under the War Regulations Act were Gazetted to-day and come into operation on August 38tb. Thev provide against shouting in hotels, regnlate the sale of liquor to women, and aim at the suppression of prostitution. • In regard to the restriction, of liquor to women it is provided that no female may enter or remain in an hotel bar alter 6 p.m.
