ALLEN DOONE COMPANY. In the Marten Town Hall Mr Doone anti ' bis favourite company, headed by Miss Edna Keeley, will appear for one night only, Tuesday, August 22nd, when they will stage ju all its completeness the sparkling Irish comedy drama “Mollyßawn.” Pew actors have done so much to obliterate the infamous stage Irishman with his flaming red hair, green whiskers, simian faceand ridiculous actions as has Allen Doone, and in so doing he has established a sympathetic bond between his fellow countrymen and himself, the ties of which are so strong that they-make the announcement “Allen Doone is coming” a welcome one. Theatregoers, irrespective of nationality, who appreciate wholesome plays acted in a refined and legitimate manner, are ardent supporters of Mr Doone. His sweet voice, soft unaffected brogue, natural art! stic acting, genuine humour and personr ality, easily stamp bim as a leader of his particular line. He has surrounded himself with an excellent company, led by the charming young actress, Miss Edna Keeley. The piece selected for production on Tuesday is one of Mr Doone’s best and choicest of. his repertoire. The box plan is at Mogridge’s. MARTON CINEMA. TO-NIGHT. A particularly live programme has been secured for the week-end entertainment. “The Stolen Voice” a world film, featuring Robert Warwick, is a class of picture that always appeals to the public. A leading feature ‘of this this picture is a scene where the actor witnesses the screening of a film—a film within a film. There will also be another episode of “The Trey of Hearts,” as this picture is now nearing its end, many exciting incidents will he witnessed. The Topical Gazette is one of an unusually high standard. .Next week, will be shown, “The High Road” featuring the exquisite stage star, Yalli Valli, of the Metro Co., and “In action with our Canadian Troops,” an official war picture.
