ON THE END OF THE WARFORECASTS DIFFER. New York, August 15. Tbe World’s London correspondent says advice received from American business men in London indicate that neutrals are growing in the belief that the end of tbe war is approaching. Most forecasts give the end'as early in 1917, while some believe the termination will take place in November. WASHINGTON’S COMPLAINTS. ANSWERED BY BRITAIN. MUST EAMINE MAILS. Wash iugton, r August 15. Britain’s explanation regarding* the examination of mails stacks that it has been proved that bags from one neutral country to another contained rubber and coffee disguised as papers.
