LORD ROSEBERY’S SPEECH.
V ANNOYS THE GERMANS. United Press Association. —By Electric Telearraoh Copyright, Received June 9, 9,35 a.m. London, June 8. German newspapers contain bitter comments on Lord Rosebery’s speech. Even the Liberal organ Vossiohe Zeitnog describes the British nation as the victim of overheated imagination and hallucinations of persecution. i The New York Times, commenting on Lord Rosebery’s speech, declares that no man could do so much as the Kaiser to quieten the apprehensions of war. The Morning Post suggests' that as Mr Asquith had declared his readiness to limit armaments if assured he would not ba rebuffed, the Kaiser would show himself a great statesman if he gave Mr Asquith a cordial hearing. No Australian comments on Lord Rosebery’s speech have yet reached London.
