SANDON OLD BOYS.

On Saturday .’evening a committee meeting of the above Association was held in the local hall. The business consisted of electing a Concert and General Arrangements Committee. Mr Haybittle’s Feilding band of four instrumentalists has been engaged for the evening. Judging by the number of invitations already accepted by old scholars from all parts of the Dominion, and the programme of amusements to be provided to entertain the guests it is more than probable that the gathering of schoolmates and friends will surpass those most enjoyable meetings which have been so pronounced a success in the past. The supperroom has been enlarged and the Town Hall Committee have expended a considerable amount of money in improving the building. The Association passed a vote of thanks to the Hall Commitee for their efforts in providing more accommodation in the sopper-room, thereby saving much expense and labour in erectingmarquees as in the past. Seeing that the funds for improvements have to be guaranteed by the individual members of the Hall Committee it is the intention of the Association to try to assist in reducing the liability on the bniWing and the ways and means of carrying this proposal into effect will be considered at the next meeting.
