The “Kangaroos” defeated a New South Wales team by 34 to 8. The returned team were clever in ’ all departments of play, showing that the visit to England had greatly improved them in the finer points of the game.
Our report of the meeting of Rangitikei Football Union is unavoidably held over till next edition. Mr W. Sexton lias presented a valuable gold medal to the Marton Club for the most improved player during the season. In the football match yesterday at Marton, Rata v. Marton, the formey team won by 9 points to 6. Judging by yesterday’s play it looks as if both teams need a great deal more practice. Both sides showed lack of combination.
