RIFLE SHOOTING.

NEW PEYELOPMENT.

Press Association.

Wellington, May 8.

In a recent speech at a Rifle Olub social. Col. Collins said great changes had taken place in shooting and we should have to fall in lino with other nations and go in for musketry training with disappearing targets. He had a great regard for the old black and white target hut farther opposition to the new ideas was not desirable in the interests of rifle shooting. This will mean change in the policy of the rifloasaociations, and naturally an alteration in company and rifle club shooting. Both volunteers and clubs *. therefore will be well advised to adopt service matches and ordinary competitions to the new conditions in view of the changes that may be expected at the big meetings.
