Mr Brodeur, Minister of Marine, speakiuggat Montreal, referring to his visit with Sir F. Borden to England to consult the Admiralty, said that Canadians didn’t want militarism, hut their better standing as a nation brought new obligations. They had won the power to make treaties where they were concerned and they could claim that they were a nation’s responsibilities and must defend their territory on land and sea.
