DANNBVIRKE MEETING. SECOND DAY. Per Press Assocuitiou. Danuevirke, March 11. The Danuevirke Races were concluded yesterday in fine weather and before a large attendance. Although the acceptances were not as large as on the first day, they were well filled, and uu excellent day’s racing was witnessed. Totalisator iuvestments'iwere not as brisk as on the first day, £6165 being handled, as against £9404 lor the corresponding day last year. This brought the total for the meeting to £13,508 as compared to £17,781 last year. The total receipts in bookmakers’ fees were £4ll. Once again tbe officials worked hard towards the success of the meeting and everything passed off without a hitch. Results:— Hurdles, miles.—Scenery 1, Speciosa 2, Waikareao 3. Won by a neck. Time, 2min 50seo. March Handicap. 6 furlongs.— North Head 1, Toa Tnhi 2, Stylish 3. Scratched: Aboriginal. Won by several lengths. Time, Imin 15seo. Telephone Hack, 5 furlongs.— Hermia 1, Rawera 2, Tni Tqa 3. All started. Won fairly easy. Time, Imin 3seo. Tahuata Hack Welter, one mile.— First Mate 1, Quandary 2, Goodwin Park 3. Scratched: Robin Link. Won easily by a length, half a length between second and third. Time, Imin 46seo. Autumn Handicap, 9 furlongs.— Tangeroa 1, Saudstream 2. Vi 3. A splendid race. Vi led to the half distance, where Tangeroa came fast and won by nearly a length. Time, mliu 57 3-ssec. Juvenile Handicap, 5 furlongs.— Ta Puia 1, Glissade 2, Day Beam 3. Also ran: Seraphic, Kiltie Lass, Ambrosian, Latohet, Arioma and Ruapare. Won by a good length. Time, Imin 3seo. Mangatera Handicap, 7 furlongs.— Aberbrothook 1, Yoetgang 2, Continuance 3. Also ran: Awha, Tuafcahi. Won easily. Time, Imin 303*0. Kaifcoke Welter, 7 fuilongs.—Silken Rein 1, Seaton Dale 2, Rangihaeta 3. Also ran: Martyrium, The Cockatoo, Aboriginal, Kurawaka, Loiret, Moscow, and Berengaria.
