Consequent on newspaper appeals, the effect of the new play “An Englishman's Home” and Lord Esher’s manifesto in the Daily Mail appealing for 11,000 territorials to complete the London establishment; an anonymous donor has forwarded £IO,OOO to the funds of the London Territorial Association. The Lord Mayor of London and the Mayors of suburban boroughs are calling meetings. Over 200 large firms are granting territorials three weeks’ holiday for the annual training to encourage enlisting.
