Sir Jas. Mills, interviewed on the question of the All Red Rome, said he was unable to throw any light on the subject as it was still being discussed. The Union Company were not building vessels except for purely local purposes, and no ship was on the stocks for the Vancouver route. He added that the matter is at present too uncertain.
