From OuriOwn Correspondent
A great many complimentary' references are being made in regard to the excellence of the accommodation and management generally of the boardinghouses here, and it is* pleasing to note that the efforts of the proprietors ®f the houses to give satisfaction are appreciated by those who stay here, and it is freely stated 1 that the accommodation ot Ohaknne is second to none on the line. Messrs Wilson, Wilkie & Co. repork that they have effected several sales of land recently at satisfactory figures, and that the tendency of the market is on the rise. \ Mr Marsh has added another eight rooms to his already commodious house, the Club. Mr Spinks has opened: a new shop in Main Street as a painter and paperbanger, and no doubt will do well, as he Is a first-class and reliable workman.
Mrs Pearson’s Trooadero is being well patronised, especially in the afternoon tea line. The management of this place is very creditable. Mr Canning, the is having a month’s holiday. Visitors to Ohaknne are much struck by the beauty of the laaes which are about two miles from town.
