WEDDING.

MORICE—ROSS. A wedding of more than ordinary interest was celebrated in the Turakina Presbyterian (Jhuroh on Thursday afternoon, when Mr “James Murray Morice, of Wellington, was united in marriage to Miss Mary Ross, second daughter of the Rev. John JRoss, of Wanganui, and formerly minister of Tnrakina. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Charles Ross, looked charming in white silk dress, the bodice a mass of costly insertion, Empire back, long train, trimmed most beautifully. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Miss Jane Ross (sister of the bride), Misfc Ross (cousin), and Miss Morice, niece of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were dressed in cream cloth, gold trimmings, and carried muffs beautifully decorated with chrysanthemums and autumn leaves. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Charles Morice, of Gisborne. The officiating ministers were the Revs. J. Ross (father of the bride), MoCully, Ryhurn, and Gordon. As the bridal party entered the church the choir sang “The Voice that Breathed o.’er Eden.” They left amid the strains of the ‘‘Wedding March.” A reception was held at “Ann Bank,’’ the charming residence of Mrjfaud Mrs B. P. Lethbridge, the "guests heiug conveyed from the church by motor-caTs, where the bride and bridegroom received the congratualtious of their many friends. The •presents, numerous and costly, were the centre of attraction for all eyes. In the spacious rooms and conservatory at ‘‘Ann Bank” Mr and Mrs Lethbridge entertained the guests and friends at afternoon tea. The rich profusion of autumn flowers and colours in the garden and rooms called forth deserved comments of admiration. The happy couple left amid showers of rice and chrysanthemum petals for thier honeymoon in the South Island. Amongst the guests were Mr and Mrs Ross (Highgate, Loudon), Miss Morice, Mr Charles Morice, and, Mr David Morice (Gisborne), Mrs Ernest Lethbridge, Mr and iMrs Frank Lethbridge, Mr and Mrs H. Y. Lethbridge, Mr and Mrs R. K. Simpson, and the Misses Simpson, Mrs Harrison, Mr and Mrs Dr. Innes, Rev. and Mrs Ryhurn, Rev. and Mrs McOully, Rev. D. Gordon, and Miss Gordon, Mr James Bruce, Miss Jordan, Mrs A. O. Bruce, the Misses Treadwell, Mr and Mrs Gordon (Wanganui), Mr and Mrs Evan McGregor, Mr O, Wilson,, Mr H. B. Lethbridge.
