Per Press "Association. Auckland, May 1. Auckland customs returns for April amounted to £52,373, a decrease of £20,530 compared with the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The abnormal decrease is largely due to the admission free of sugar, which in April 1907, paid £11,686 duty. Gold exports increased by £24,933. Butter exported declined £22,631, ;::wool decreased £9,483, gum decreased £10,985, flax decreased £18,396.
