MEETINGS OF HOUSEHOLDERS

At the householders meeting about 25 attended. The balance-sheet and report for the year showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The election resulted as fellows : Mr R. Summers (chairman), W. E. Bryant, Y. Greeuside, J. Moon, Dr. Turnbull, J. Dawkins and Davis. WAIPURU. The following were elected on the committee; Mr D. Peck, J. Stent, W. Philps, H. Leat, H. Stent (reeletced chairman). The balancesheet showed a credit of £9 4s 7^<fd. PAREWASUI. Messrs A. A. MoDouell, F, Brookie, A. Cameion, H. Goile, O. Tapp, J. Richards, and J. A. Sim were elected as school committee for the ensuing year. GOAL CREEK. Messrs W. J. Cock (chairman), G. Smith, S. Plall, O. Stevens, R. Liugard. WAITUNA WEST. E. Shannon (chairman), A. E. Pearce (secretary), H. Bottcher, F. Eggers, E. G. Murphy, F. Paul, O. O. Eggers. SPUR ROAD. Messrs John Murphy (re-elected chairman), S. Thebridge, J. Jellyman, R. Shorfcall, S. Jary. HIWINUI. Messrs W. Gorusohat, H. J. Argyle, G. W. Mills, W. J. Srew, J. T. Entwisle, T. Rowling (secretary), W. Greonhow (chairman). CHELTENHAM. The balance-sheet of the committee showed that the receipts amounted to £22 Os Id (including £l9 6s 6d as grants) and the expenditure to £2O 9s lOd, leaving a credit balance of £1 10s 3d, or 2s 4d better than last year’s balance. The following committee was elected : Messrs J. Murray, S. W. Evans, R. Christensen, W. Stretton, W. Green, P. J. Annis, J. Bruce. Mr Stretton vras re-elected chairman and secretary for the year.
NIKAU. Messrs J. D. Balmer (re-elected chairman), G. O. Billet, R. W. Southee, W. Peterkin, and Mrs Balmer. MAKING. The householders’ meeting was fairly well attended. The following were elected for School Committee : Messrs E. Bosher, G. J. Hart, E. Pearson, F. Newell, W. Reid, W. Watkins, and R, Relf. Messrs B. Bosher and O. J. Hart were again elected' chairman and secretary respectively. OHAKEA. ” At the annual meeting, the following financial statement was submitted : Commenced the year with a credit balance of £ls 3s 7d ; capitation grants, and the proceeds of a ball and concert brought the total receipts to £63 18s 4d, disbursements £sl 11s, leaving a credit balance of £l2 7s. The following committee was elected : Messrs Masters, Frecklingtou, Zeeman, McNab, Richardson, Henderson, and Bailey (chairman). KIWI TEA. Messrs R. O. E. G’arey (chairman), W T alter Olahpam, Aif. Kidd, Thos. Game, Win. Stringer, John Stringer, F. O. Roff. gSTANWAY. There was a good attendance at the meeting. The chairman (Mr 'G. O. Wheeler) read the balance-sheet, showing a credit of £4 19s 3d to the general account, credit of £6 12s 5d to Prize Fund account, and a credit of 6d to the Post Office account. The following gentlemen were then elected as a committee: Messrs Wlieeler, I. Marshall, Shirley, Balmer, Callingham,’ James and Jensen. KAKARIKL R. Print (chairman), W. Kaberstine (treasurer), S. Locke, M. Lyons, J. Mathers, H. Slack, J. Mudford, TABLE FLAT. Messrs A. L. Little (re-elected chairman), G. Knight, J. Muuro, O. E. Lewis, A. MoMurrie. KIMBOLTON. Rev. Mr White, Messrs Crabb, Oairutbers, Baddeley, N. Jensen, W. T. London and A. Pettigrew. At ihe meeting of the committee held afterwards, Mr Orabb was [elected chairman and Mr Carruthers treasurer.

McKenzie (re-elected chairman), Jas. Hodge, J. Martin, J. G. Carr, Arthur Rose. RUAHINE. Messrs R. W. Mitchell, W. H. Billinghurst, H. J. Price, T. Bunn, W. Dobson, J. Bourke, and O. J. Hall (chairman). KAHEKE. O’Hagan (chairman), Oawood (secretary), Baker, Purnell and Schmidt. POREWA. At the householders meeting ’on Monday evening the following were elected a school committee: Messrs A. Frederick, H. Fowler, E. Rosser, J. Signal, and E. Thoms. Mr Thoms was re-elected chairman. The balance-shoe't showed a credit of £3 7s.
