ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Dunedin, April 17.
A young man named John Xjogie, a member of B Battery of Volunteers, met with a fatal accident on the railway last night. While proceeding to the encampment he fell between two carriages while the train was between Puketerski and Merton. When picked up the body was badly mangled. ;The deceased is believed to have been employed at the Hillside Railway workshops. : Blenheim, April 17.
- A voung man named Scott Harding, son of a well-known settler, was found,late last night on one of the main roads in town in an unconscious condition with the top of his skull fractured. His horse, with saddle and bridle, was found some miles away iu an opposite direction, and it is not possible to ascertain whether Mr Harding was the victim of an assault or was thrown from his horse. He is not expected to live.
