The demand was not at all keen, and all classes of backward stock were neglected. The following were the principal sales at auction: —Ewe lambs 2s 6d to 3s sd, mixed age ewes Gs 2d, medium lambs 6s od, 18 months steers, small 335, weauer heifers 3s "6d, backward ;cows 21s, bulls £3 10s to £2 12s Gd, springing heifers £2 15s, fat and forward cows £3 9s, forward cows £2 Is, mixed ■weauers, good 265.
