THE LISBON RIOTS.

Press Association —Copyright. Lisbon, April 10. The Cabinet at Lisbon has ordered a searching inquiry into the riots. An allegation has been made that the municipal guard fired a volley on unarmed crowds.

The guard wounded five soldiers belonging to a detachment which was marching past San Domingo Square, which was the scene of the chief riot, It is stated the guaxd there fired 170 shots, aiming generally at the ground. Over 700 arrests have been made, including many proletians who were in the possession of large sums.
