QUEENSLAND FLOODS.
Press Association-Copyright. Received March 1 9, 10.49 a.m. Sydney, March 19 The river Namoi at Guuuedah is higher than ever known. Weewa is completely surrounded and has had no communication with the outside world for three days.
Many animals are being washed away.
At Narrabri the main street is partially under water and all the surrounding districts are inundated, s Brisbane,'March 19. The river is subsiding at Rockhampton and Bundaberg. Some wharves iu low-lying portions of the towns are partially submerged. Many other places report floods and damage. Railway and mail {[traffic is badly disorganised. Adelaide, March 19. There is heavy rain and floods in the far north and much country*is inundated. The manager of a station ’at Nydrie.took refuge in a tree and remained foodless for two days and two nights, till the flood subsided.
